It could be the most excruciating feeling in the world to feel as though your own family is the only ones who have abandoned you. Even though Fawna's human mother knew how hard it could be for the little puppy to survive on her own, she chose to discard her as a "thing" in the trash when she moved out. And the poor puppy had to fend for himself among the trash for almost six days until somebody spotted him and pulled him from the depths of misery.
Through a sequence of remarkable events, this fortunate puppy was spared from an awful end.

“The garbage service telephoned us. One of the bags started moving while they were tossing out the garbage,” shared the Humane Culture of Westmoreland Region.
The little canine has spent six days there, surviving by herself.

But nothing happened, and the canine was predicted to be there for nearly a week, starving and upset. Nearly no hope was found in her eyes.
Fortunately, Nathan spotted the poor canine, and with help from this good samaritan and the Humane Culture of Westmoreland Region, she had a chance to start her life again.
She was in good care at the Humane Culture and given the name Fawna.

She ought to have weighed approximately 50 extra pounds when the Humane Culture took her in, but she only considered 17 pounds. Fawna remained in the latter phases of a lack of nutrition when she was believed to have remained in the trash can for around six days.
However, the little pup's condition improved over time with the love and care of the Humane Culture staff.

Her previous owner then received appropriate punishment for what she had done.

She had left shortly before the rescuers found Fawna, which means the woman had left her lovely dog in the trash for so many days before she actually moved out. She was then arrested on charges of cruelty to animals and, in 2015, pleaded guilty with the obligation to pay a fine and undergo a psychiatric examination.

She had established such a strong bond with the little dog that she decided to adopt her. Now, the little dog is healthy and lives happily with her new four-legged brother, a Great Dane, named Stewe.
